whiskey (or whisky) will not go bad with age, but once it hits the bottle, it wont get better with age either. a 12 year old scotch bottled 30 years ago is still a 12 year old scotch. only barrel aging matures a whiskey, bottle aging will not. cheers!

I don't think whiskey will, My father has a bottle of scotch that he has had since 1978, his best friend gave it to him and his friend died a few months ago and we are have a memorial soon and poppin the bottle so I hope it's not bad. I'm sure Baily's or a cream liquor would go bad if it was opened but if it is unopened it should be safe...

I hope not , my ma found a bottle of vodka under her stairs, think it was there 4 years. her and all her mates drank it and are OK. Think Baileys would go off, if it was opened..

What about all them old bottles of whiskey kept in cellars??? So must be OK to drink

Not really. Some of the cream-based liqueurs could, but hard liquor will probably evaporate before it expires.

Nope. Alcohol is used as a preservative for lots of other things...it's not going to spoil when it's unadulterated.
