I'm going to uni soon, but I'm looking forward to it.
Its not like 6th Form, these friends stay friends for life. It will be a nervous time, but just think that practically no one there will have friends so your all on an equal playing field.
The best advice which seems obvious, is just make friends to people in your apartment and classes. These people can help you though loads. When you know your way around where you are living, you can make more friends quicker, and can be the leader of the group.

It`s the same for everyone. Starting uni actually IS a big deal - loads of new people. Just remember you won`t be bombarded with them all ! LOL. You`ll soon be in your own small group of new friends having the time of your life. It`s not all about hard work - it really is a great experience - so look forward to it - lots of fun in store !

I found it strange when I went to Uni (many years ago). Try to remember that every 1st year you meet is in the same situation as you. It may take a week or two, but you'll be surprised how easy it is to settle in when everyone is new.

Uni? I love meeting new people, you should try and become more outgoing, you can make some new friends by joining new things that you've never done before. Good Luck =)

I think alot of people are. When you start uni I'm sure you will find that other people there are exactly the same. I'm sure after the first few days you will make new friends and it will become alot easier. Just be yourself :)

Yes and I think it's perfectly normal.
give it a few weeks and you will really enjoy yourself,
once you meet a few people, and make friendships you will be fine!
Everything is harder when you are first starting out, uni included.
Good luck anyway!

Yeah...everyone is in the same boat...first day of uni/work/school and you'll meet someone who is feeling just as lost as you. Trust me...been there!

It's always scary meeting new people. You don't really know how to act. Just be yourself and if you're nice people should like you regardless.
