The first folks I heard who have been kind of Holocaust 'deniers' have been folks who had come from Germany as adults, however have been children in the course of the struggle. They noticed, demise, and horror. They misplaced household in bombings or in fight. They weren't denying, entirely the holocaust however mentioned hundreds of thousands of German Christians have been additionally killed within the struggle, and weren't that sympathetic. Nobody was once all dissatisfied due to the fact that so much in their household was once killed off in bombing raids on German towns. I do not trust that, however they simply noticed all of it as aspect of the struggle, now not dividing it up into Gentiles and Jews or how they have been killed. Others folks are simply anti-semites and do not care that Jewish folks have been killed. Others declare it was once staged. But I have met infantrymen who liberated the camps in 1945. They noticed what they noticed, they didn't make it up. Whether it was once 6 million or truthfully five.five million or anything, it does now not subject. The holocaust was once truly. For probably the most aspect being a 'holocaust denier' isn't a criminal offense. But in a few areas like Germany in these days, both spreading Nazi propaganda or displaying Nazi symbols is a criminal offense. I suppose in different European nations it's the identical. By the way in which, the German folks, once they have been in America a whilst and noticed the films, the movie clips, and so forth. admitted it had long gone on however the German civilians didn't realize. They knew there have been jail camps, however assumed each person there was once a truly crook. I have no idea any folks who have been adults in Germany on the time so I have no idea what adults knew. A couple of folks, they usually probably correct, are announcing "Liberals" wish it eliminated from books. Other than the German born folks I talked about, each person I've ever identified who was once a denier was once a correct-wing conservative bigot. Most liberals entirely suppose the Holocaust happened. I'm now not announcing there aren't liberal kooks, however they more commonly do not deny the holocaust.

Holocaust is a Greek word literally meaning total incineration. There have been many "holocausts" during the centuries. It was a favorite way of dealing with the opposition in ancient times. part of military tactics. The Romans burned Carthage to the ground and then plowed the ruins so that nothing was left. Alexander did the same to the city state of Thebes and he plowed the ruins with salt so that nothing could grow back. These are just a few examples . The latest and the one that most people remember is the holocaust involving the systematic eradication of Jews and other "subhumans" (Russians gypsys homosexuals etc) by Hitler's Germany during WWII (1939-1945). It is estimated that it cost the life of about 6 million people. For political reasons we have put aside the terrible death toll that Stalin imposed upon his own people. ore than 50 million lost there lives in the soviet union under papa Stalin. An other holocaust of the early 20th century was the genocide of the Armenian people by the Turks in the early 1900.

When people think of the Holocaust then they automatically think of the Nazi's treatment of Jews. However, many many other events similar to this have occurred.
Also, while the German Nazi's mainly targeted Jews other people were killed along as well.
This included:
Germans
Gypsies
Homosexuals
People with disabilities (even wearing glasses was considered a disability)
Anybody who was against Hitler

Many innocent people were destroyed with the Jews. We should honor them too.

Let's look into the background of Germany while Hitler was coming into power.
Germany was just defeated in WW1. Spirits were down and many people were living in poverty. Germans have a very strong pride in their country and emotions were running high at this time.
Hitler had an agenda for his country. To make it rise out the ashes and develop it into a world power. However, he used the most horrific treatments to make this come true.
Many Jews were well off during this time after the war and Hitler used that against them for propaganda against the Jews.
Many Germans were poor and Hitler used their resentment and turned it against the Jews. He made it seem as if Jews were responsible for the troubles and how they have taken over the country.
For the election, Hitler came to power democratically. There was no forceful overtaking. Hitler was elected by the people.
Once Hitler and his party, the Nazi's, came into power then it was over the Germans. Germany became a breeding place of evil. Many Germans protested against Hitler, but were thrown into the Holocaust concentration camps themselves.
The concentration camps were places where people that Hitler disliked were taken to. There they were starved to death, put into gas chambers, forced into horrible medical experiments or other forms of torture.
It was a terrible moment in history when evil was allowed to endure. Thankfully, it is over and now Germany is a wonderful country that has overcome her past.

The Holocaust was the period in the 1930s and 1940s when Hitler attempted to eradicate "undesirables" from Germany and the nations occupied by Germany at the time.

The ten million estimated victims of the Holocaust included Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, Russian prisoners of war, the mentally retarded, and the mentally ill.

6 millions jews, alone (there were millions of others as well, tortured to death by HItler and his Nazi's in the most horrible ways, including burning them alive by the group in giant ovens, putting groups of them in pits to mow them down with automatics, and even some scientific experiments done (theres one story about Hitler supporting the idea of tying a womans legs together while she was in labour to see what would happen ).

The holocaust must NEVER EVER be repeated for any reason.

I don't hate anyone. But if Hitler were still alive, I think I could hate him. He was completely and utterly insane and he actually has a quotation in his book Mein Kampf about how he's gods servant here on earth. I can't remember the exact quote but I imagine there are those that can on here.
