I believe only if they were flawless and sinless would it count, and according to the deep faith of my heart, the truth is that the only one qualified would be Jesus Christ. He left His heavenly throne and became like a nobody here on earth, and died willingly for all mankind because His life was the only sacrifice that would save us. He took upon Himself all the punishment for all our sins, past, present and future... so we don't have to pay the wages of sin, which is death. He took it all upon His shoulders and now calls us debt free who believe in Him as the only begotten Son of God, who God raised from the dead. It is written that "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." It is simple faith in the Lord Jesus as your savior, that frees you. He reconciles us to God, as He said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life... then He said, "No one comes to the Father [God] but by me." I believe it. He has proven it in my life.

I have come to the conclusion that any law that accepts the sufferings of the innocent as atonement for the guilty cannot be a good law! No honourable man should accept that another should suffer for him, for where then lies the notion of responsibility which is crucial to the Law of Retributive Justice.
To my mind, the idea that God wants blood (as if He is a vampire!) is at the bottom of the atonement doctrine, and requires the most fearsome savagery to fulfil. Even the so-called barbaric age in Africa, when sacrifice - including that of humans- was required, was better off; because at least you have to bring the object of sacrifice, and thereby display some sense of responsibility: The debt had to be paid, and by the man who owed it. But the christian of today will say, "Charge it on the Lord, the Saviour will pay"! In this way, rascality was sold on credit, and this credit system breeds a lot more crime. No wonder then that our world is now filled with so much violence, rape, murder and war! Afterall we can always ask the good Lord to remember His precious Blood! Indeed, the rascality of man has reached its zenith; he has brought his god to the earth and murdered him in the name of vicarious sacrifice! How infinitely arrogant! Anyway credulity is not a crime, otherwise it would not have accepted this rather obscene proposition as Truth.

Some people do, its a psychological thing I don''t know if it has a name, I have experienced it several time, controling people try to put others on a cross insted of relying on the power of the jesus who did die ont he cross. I have actually felt like I have been nailed to a cross by these people, they are so abusive and controling that I felt like I was carrying not only my cross, but theres, and trying to pay for their sins or the sins of what someone has done to them that they never forgave, so no, no one else can pay for your sins, except Jesus. people try all the time to make others pay, or when you get angrey at loved ones when you are actually angrey at another person.

Presumably if between the two of you there is only one conventional person's worth of sins....
So if one person only has 10% of the conventional sinfulness... they could die for the sins of 10 like people (including themselves).
O'course.... I've done enough in my life thus far that christianity would consider sinful to require the sacrifice of two Jesuses.... at least.
I plan on doing more too.... so if Jesus is going to come back, he'd better be ready to die again. Once will never be enough! >=D

No.
A perfect man, Adam [ and Eve] lost us the right to live without death. God did not create Adam with ' death' built in. Adam was warned that if he "ate of the tree"...disobeyed,...the penalty was to die.
Not straight away, but eventually,
We have inherited that ' fault'
Because it was not in God's original plan for mankind, God very lovingly supplied his very own [ PERFECT] son to " pay a ransom" and buy back for us the 'right' to again live without having to die.
A PERFECT MAN LOST IT. AND A PERFECT MAN GOT IT BACK.
Any imperfect man would not be suitable.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
(1 Corinthians 15:26) As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.

Only Jesus can and did that for us. He was without sin. When He was crucified, He carried all our sins with Him and made the ultimate sacrifice. That's why we don't need to sacrifice animals blood anymore. Because Jesus did it all for once and one for all. He is truly Awesome. Pray to Him. He will answer you.

it took a man born without sex, with pure blood, and dying on a cross to attone and take away our unbelief/sin. The only begotten Son of God. This was the only antidote that could do it. The lamb that was washed and stripped naked b4 being sacrificed. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!

Yes. HE already did and that was JESUS the SON of GOD. GOD required a perfect sacrifice to atone for sin and the only sinless one was HIS SON JESUS. So GOD not wanting HIS creations to be without HIM through out eternity gave HIS SON as substitute for our sins. HIS blood alone redeemed us and put us under the GRACE of GODs mercy, that through JESUS all who come to HIM might be saved, forgiven and redeemed. Isn't that remarkable, for GOD so loves us HE gave HIS SON to adopt us into HIS family.

Yes, because when Christ (If he's who you are talking about) died he accepted our punishment upon himself. He "took the bullet that was meant for us." However we must first accept his forgiveness before we are freed from our sins. For more on this please read C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

agreeing with tomkat above!
someone who doesn't have sins of their own to die for (and most of us do however large or small the world perceives those sins) can offer to pay the price for our sins
one person has been found that matches that criteria - Jesus Christ
