I need to find a pair of non childish roller skates. Have very limited funds? Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Try the free ads or place an ad offering a service in exchange
(like babysitting for someone who until recently was free for skating but as a new parent isn't).

why don't you try freecycle? its a site for people to get rid of things they don't want by giving them (for free) to someone that does.
just go to the site below, and sign in to your local group. you'd be suprised what some people don't want any more
