Continental chocolate, such as Belgian or Swiss, has more cocoa powder in it than British and tastes much better. In fact, British chocolate is so low in cocoa content that the EU wanted it not to be called chocolate but chocolate flavour, but the UK won an exemption.

The best reasonably cheap chocolate I've bought in Britain are the Amazon blends, Ecuadorean and Brazilian, sold in LIDL, with about 70% cocoa.

I know, you are not seeking MY answer specially. But this is the 3rd or 4th time in less than 10 days when somebody like yourself wanted to know what everybody's favourite chocolate was. Are you all with a chocolate factory doing researches?

If you are really that interested to know, mine is Ferrero Rocher. And I am not getting commission from them to say so.

Co-Op fair-trade chocolate, both the milk and dark are the best in my books.

But I am also a fan of flakes, once again both milk and dark.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm
