I must answer with, why do you deem the wealthy religious to be authorities? I would tend to disagree with their "authority".

The great majority of Christian leaders are not wealthy at all.
The ones you see on TV, etc may be very rich, they may not be. People give to ministries to help them spread the Gospel. That is sometimes very expensive.
I have brothers and sisters in Christ who get just enough to survive. And they are happy with that! Others who are given great wealth spend most of it on spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
I would suggest that you trust God to be the judge between those who are doers of The Word and those who are parasites.

If the Vatiacan were a corporation, it would be the wealthiest in the world. As the Bishop is head of the Vatican, his "net worth" is technically the wealthiest on earth.

Tons of the Vatican's wealth is untouched and stored underground, which may help explain why it's so wealthy.

I am not sure what you mean about all being wealthy. Are you referring to televangelists or those that are on TV on Sundays? You know why.

All the pastors I've known are struggling financially like the rest of us in the real world. They don't have anymore than we do and some are working.

Of course I guess it depends on the Church that supports them. Perhaps the congregation is upscale financially.

They are all false religion!

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

II Corinthians 2:17
King James Version

they corrupted the word of god! they could'nt stop

Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Isaiah 56:11
King James Version

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Isaiah 56:12
King James Version

The Sheperds are the pastors

Because they are creations of man, God always intended every church to be indepenent and as such any authority over the churches is man made.
They make good money, because that is their intent, if they were really interested in being a tool of God their money would go straight to doing the work of God an so there would be no accumulation of money or wealth as you put it.

Because you only see the ones who have enough money to finance television shows.
The vast majority of them are far from wealthy. In fact, most of the ones I have ever met have at least two jobs.

For the religious authorities that are actual Christians, it's because they work for God. God takes care of his children. You can have all the desires of your heart.

For the religious authorities who are hipocrits and liers, it's because they steal it in many ways.

It depends on the minister. We know that there are false preachers in our world and to be fair, some do get mislead by greed of money. This is where Lucifer comes and inherits the preacher soul. They trade God with the god of money, and what's worst many don't dig themselves out from this hypnosis by Satan.

There are preachers who devotes their lives in teaching the truth and works hard to earn money. They are able hammer down all of Lucifer's attempts.

God Bless

well, people in "authority" have control, power, influence over others and are often recepients of offerings/gifts/salaries....

but who cares? just because some big tv personality has lots of money and gets a lot of attention doesn't affect my commitment and my responsiblities before God.

I am called to follow God, not man.

god bless
