Yes, this is bad.
I don't know how old you are but since you are writing "teacher" as opposed to "professor", I'm going to guess you are under 18. However, if you are over 18, you shouldn't be dating your teacher.
Why? Because it's against the school's policy and he could lose his job for dating a student. And he knows it.
All relationships should be equal. By that I mean you should be as comfortable calling him as he is calling you. I'll bet that this relationship is secret, isn't it?
Do you two walk around the school holding hands? Do you kiss each other hello or goodbye? Do you go on dates in public where you could be seen by others from school? Do you go on dates to school functions? I didn't think so.
Here's what I think you should do. If possible, transfer out of the class. If it's too late to do that, NEVER, EVER, EVER be alone with this "man" again. EVER.
Go to student services and ask for counseling to discuss this issue. Everything you say is confidential.
This man is taking advantage of his position of power. This is a form of sexual harassment. Yes, it is. It is the same as a boss dating an employee so the employee gets better treatment in the workplace.
This is not an equal relationship and I can see you only being hurt by this if this situation continues.
hon, I care for you. I really do. A friend of mine was in this situation when we were in high school and it has messed her up for life. She's never married and still cries over this man.
Please don't let this happen to you. He's taking advantage of you and he knows what he is doing is wrong.

I taught you are not supposed to date your teacher, but is not wrong to call him once in a while, not all the time. When you call him and he is sounds like he doesn't want to talk to you don't call him back is not worth it, he might not feel the same way like you, but if he sound happy keep on talking to him there might be a chance he likes you too

First how old are you and how old is he? It makes a big difference on the advice you'll get.
