We have a friend that constantly lies and we want to sit her down and confront her about it. She's a good friend to all of us and we want her to know that she doesn't have to put on a fake front. We will accept her no matter what, but we want her to stop lying to us about things.

Should we confront her or should one of us just talk to her? We don't want it to seem like we're going to attack her. We just want her to know that it's okay to not be so perfect because no one in this world is perfect.

Don't confront her all at once. I think it would be better for one person to talk to her and don't act like it's a group decision. Meaning whoever is the one who is elected to talk to her can't act like a spokesperson for the group, because that's just as hurtful as everyone talking to her.

All of you or one of you can try talking to your friend but I seriously doubt it would work. She will more than likely just lie to you all and say that she hasnt been telling any lies at all. People who constantly lie a lot usually tell lies to themselves also and if they arent ready to stop lying to themselves then they arent gonna be readly to stop lying to you.

I personally think that you have 1of 2 options.....

1 - You all keep her as a "friend" and let the lies ride

or

2 - Disassociate yourselves from her

P.s. - If she lies to you then she will also lie on you and lie about you.

One to one may be best, she may have a good reason for telling the lies she does.
If you go in as a group you may upset her and make things a lot worse.

your friend could have a very serious problem , that you and your friends may not have the skills to deal with ...I have been with a woman like you described ....she ruined my life ...she hasn't changed her ways and never will . best advice ....disassociate yourself with her a.s.a.p.
