If it is not peak season, and if you are alone, then probably you can enjoy them in one day, if you go for the entire time it is open. I would recommend two days, esp for a group of two or more people ... always seems to take longer to do things in a group.
If your alternative is not to go, by all means just do it, maybe check out the website and know which things you most want to see.
Have fun!!
P.S. If they have the fastpass or whatever it is called still, take advantage of it ..... it will be outlined on the website.

No, one day really isn't enough to even see everything there is to see at Disneyland let alone Disneyland and California Adventure. Although one day is sufficient for just California Adventure. The only way you can make this work for you is if you are willing only to hit the highlights (probably 5 or so of the major attractions depending on crowds and how long you are there).
The best thing to do if you want to visit both parks and get the most out of your day is go for the Southern California 2fer ticket. This allows you to go one day to one park and another day to the other. Then you will have time to factor in crowds, special events, and time limits of your own. There is also an efficent way to do the park and maximize your time, but it depends on what you are looking for. Do you mainly want to hit the roller coasters or see the shows, etc. Decide what you want to do and get a game plan together. Get there early and use fastpass.
Hope that helps.

From personal experience, I would not choose the One day hopper. I haven't been there for a few years now, but even back then i needed at least a 3-day hopper. You don't want to rush around the park trying to see everything they have to offer. You would be running around both parks like a mad person! And if you don't have that much time off to go for 3 days, a 2 day is great too, you can split the parks by day, Disney one day & C.A. the other. or however you want to mix it up! They are more enjoyable when your take the time!!

I would have to ask, "when are you going?"
Right now, it's spring break for the next 3 weeks, and CROWDED, especially on weekends. So, I would advise against it.
If you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday sometime in late April or early May, then I would say you could see and do a lot and it would be worth it. But as you get close to summer, you just can't do as much and need more days to see all the things you want.
Best time of year is September and October, when the crowds are gone and the lines are short, and the weather is still warm. Early to mid November is also an excellent time, since the holiday decorations go up around the 11th and the park is dressed up, but the lines are very short.

It Depends. It Depends On How Many People Are In That Park That Day. And It Also Depends On How Many Hours You Plan On Staying. When I Was In Disney, 2 Years Ago...I Started At About 9AM And Did Not Leave Until 10PM. So In My Opinion...As Long As It Is Disney LAND...You Can Definitely Do It In One Day!!!

I grew up 10 minutes from Disneyland and have long gone in all likelihood one hundred cases. i've got taken my young infants, yet we've been given annual passes. i do no longer advise vacationing 2,000 miles for it. I hear Disney international is plenty greater advantageous, and beneficial nearer to you. The nutrition in Disneyland is extremely costly. The lines are long, and the parks (alongside with CA journey) are constantly crowded in spite of the extreme fees. that is in simple terms multiple concern, fairly by way of fact your youngest won't even recollect it.

One day is good. To mke the most of it, make sure you leave early. The park opens at 9:00 in the morning. Closing hours vary but try to stay out as late as you can.

I would recommend one day in each park. There are some "age" appropriate rides / attractions you probably would not be interested in, but one day each will give you a fairly good adventure.

Yes, I think so, just hit all of the big rides. You may have some lines, some kids are on spring break!
Have fun
