Hi! I agree with the others; it's generally accepted that as long as you live in your parents house, you need to follow their rules--if you don't like it, you need to move. But why is she taking your XBox out anyway? Just curious.
I also do think they have the power to throw you out because you are old enough to be on your own, and they're helping you out by letting you stay. But like everyone else said, I don't think they would do that, especially if your mom is so worried about you that she takes your Box.

You are joking?!?!
Oh, man, I wish I could pay $20 a week for a place to live and have to drag my xBox back into my room everyonce in a while.
You want to screw that up by pitchin' a fit? Are you dafted?
Friggin' apologize for being upset about it, or get out and pay hundreds a month in rent. You have nothing to ***** about. Get over it.
Dam man, its just a little issue.
Okay- at 13 (that was over twenty five years ago), I was paying like a hundred a month rent.
When I turned 16 I paid my Dad $200 so he would let me barrow his former work truck (which he took when ever he wanted to).
I worked and went to school, when I got out of school I found myself pretty much on my own. Mom and Dad split, and I moved in with Mom, to whom I paid $750 a month.
I own my own home now (well paying some 2k to a morgage, insurrance, property taxes, etc company/month) and I am wishing I could only pay $80 bucks a month.
My suggestion- check out the price of apartments in the area, and then talk to your parents about not going in and snagging your xbox. Its an invasion of privacy and all that, but you have no room to be upset until they do it to you in the home you are paying for every month.

I'm afraid that's the way it has to be. How old are you anyways? Whether you're working or not, if you still live in your parents' house, you still gotta abide by their rules. I don't think that they're gonna throw you out though...

Basically it's their way or the highway. Hopefully the XBOX only gets removed on school nights.

As long as you're under their roof, it's their rules. If you're 19, they can throw you out. You are legally an adult.
