I have no problem with fossils, The eruption of Mount St. Helen's produced fossils and coal, things i was told took millions of years to produce, yet they are there after a mere 25-26 years. Citizens of Pompeii, were fossilized almost instantly the same way.
It almost takes a cataclysmic event to produce a fossil, because the dead body has to be covered fast enough to keep scavengers from disassembling it.
Almost all of this evidence can be explained by the flood as well as the supposed time line the evolutionist put forth. No test of faith, just evidence.

Maybe God didn't plant them. Maybe they came about like any fossil does and it's not a test at all. Many of the fossils they say are a million plus years old are the size of a dime then computer enhanced by some sort on man made computer. They can't figure out where bin-Laddin is, who really shot JFK, if OJ was actually innocent or guilty, but they can figure out what a rock the size of a dime used to be? Yeah--right...

It's called rationalization. If the facts and evidence contradict your preconcieved belief system, and you can't explain them away, make something up! Some people are just that desperate to hold onto their belief in a literal interpretation of the Bible. Like Aristotle's imaginary "epicycles" to explain the motion of the planets, otherwise impossible in an Earth-centered universe. Pity that so many still cling to primative beliefs in the face of scientific fact.

1. Allah (SWT) 'God' is only 'One', has no partner or son, and neither gives birth, nor is He born. He is eternally besought by all and has no beginning or end, and none is equal to Him (Holy Quran example)
2. He is the Merciful and the Compassionate, the Guardian and the True Guide, the Just and the Supreme Lord, the Creator and the Watchful, the First and the Last, the Knowing and the Wise, the Hearing, and the Aware, the Witness and the Glorious, the Able and ' the Powerful. (Holy Quran example).
3. He is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. (Holy Quran example). The question of Allah's (SWT) 'God' existence has preoccupied men's minds for many centuries. Those who believe in Allah (SWT) 'God' seem to agree that the limited finite human intelligence cannot prove the existence of the infinite boundless of Allah (SWT) 'God'. It can only illustrate or demonstrate his existence to the satisfaction of the curious human mind.
Those who deny Allah's (SWT) 'God' claim to rely on science, philosophy, or special theories of knowledge. Their arguments are sometimes inapplicable, sometimes irrelevant, always complex, and often incomprehensible. However, the developed mind will find its way to Allah (SWT) 'God'. Failure to find the way does not mean that there is no way. Denial of reality does not make it unreal.

Its a real problem; when you start buying into that stuff your brain starts to get mooshy and you start believing in all kinds of crazy things, e.g. iraq was behind 9/11, or that Saddam Hussein and bin Laden are the same persona....just look at the president, a prime example of what religion can do for the mind.

"Testing someone's faith usually involves going through some hardship"
but being confronted with the truth IS a hardship for many
they want to cling to their beliefs and think that if they do inspite of all evidence to the contrary that they have than mastered that hardship...

It could happen, really!!! It could happen... I mean, like duh? God can do anything...right? Well, I heard it is possible so it must be true. Anyway, my preacher has told me that is what the bible said so it must be true. And I can find books my church told me about on Amazon, so there is DEFInite PROOF. What are you, the devil, for putting these evil thoughts in my mind. You must be, like, the Devil himself. I have so many doubts...but must not tell anyone. I must call my preacher to figure this out. OHH, but wait...I don't want to get pregnant again. I must keep it to myself. I must believe...I have faith...I Love God...I am praying...I must read more Bible to understand Gods will... Why am I pregnant again, it must be a curse from God, God Damit!!!

I am a Christian and I wonder how anyone could say that too. I believe that they were once on Earth alive and well. I also do not believe the earth is 85 billion years old and that you started out as a single cell in a primordial muck.

Have you ever read the Old Testament? Yahweh is always deceiving someone or blinding someone to the truth. He even has lying spirits at his command. What's up with that?
