I have dated a bit and know I prefer to be blown off. It wastes less time! I tend to do the same thing. Is this bad. Do I need to give an explanation? It would just be lies anyway!

Try using the old Marcia Brady standby...Something suddenly came up.

I think here's a case where being honest and telling someone how you feel is not a great idea. "Blow them off" (figuratively speaking that is...lmao).
I prefer the blow off as well, both giving and getting. You get the message eventually and then you move on.

first...dont set up a date to begin with...why set one with someone you have no intent on meeting with or starting something with? Just tell them the truth, "im not interested" sure you can "blow off" (does that mean no show?) a date. but that can really crush a man's ego. scar them causing to think theyve got a problem. just think before you set a date.

i wouldn't dignify a sucking date with explanation. just say u re busy till the rest of your life. and i agree with u - it wastes less time
