I have an idea of what I should bring with me but I tend to forget. Any places that are recommended for food. The trip is on March 30.

Washington DC is a wonderful city and makes you proud to be an American! It's one thing to see all those special buildings and monuments on tv and so much better to see them in person. Are you asking what you should bring? Definitely wear running shoes. You'll do a lot of walking and a pair of comfy shoes are a must. If you are asking what you should see, well, there's a lot to see. The Lincoln Memorial and that huge statue of Lincoln is something you'll remember for life. The Marines monument showing those Marines from Iwo Jima in WW2 is awesome. So many more things to see, you'll have to decide what you want to look at. If you are going on a school field trip, I guess they'll have it planned for you. You might want to also bring some snacks. The food in Washington, even the fast foods can be expensive. What should you wear? Depends on the weather when you are going. Just go to www.cnn.com and look for the weather icon or to www.weather.com

A body guard! D.C. is a dangerous place. I don't know if the street thugs or the politicians or the worse but be careful.
