She And Her Boyfriend Where Fighting Out in The Hall, I was Freaked Out(This Isn't The first Time Its Happened Before)...(Yeah And I'm Still Freaked Even Though Its Happend Before), So I Didn't Even Answer The Door. So I See Her This Morning In The Hall And Her Face Is All Scratched And Her Bf Has A black Eye...Also When My Bf And I Moved In My Land Lord Told Us To Never Answer The Door For My Next Door Neighbors If They Are Fighting He Said Call The Cops. I Don't Want To Call The Cops Because I Don't Want To Start Fighting With My Neighbor That Lives 8 feet From My Door. WHAT SHOULD I DO ??

Hi Mae. Call the police and tell them. For the fact your landlord told you not to answer the door to them would indicate they are indeed crazy. Evicting them would be the best outcome for you...you can remain annonomus i believe so fear not and take the plunge so you can sleep at night!

A few options, threaten to sue the landlord for giving you an unsafe place to live and not maintaining peace within his building. HE should evict them.

Call the landlord when this is happening, and have all the other neighbors do the same.

Call the police if none of that works.

Move. Moving is your last, and probably BEST option. Those living conditions are unacceptable.

PS if there are other neighbors involved, as well as the landlord calling the police, they will not know who did it. The police are not supposed to disclose who made the complaint.

You should call the cops and also complain to your landlord, they are not keeping the peace and he shoud evict them both for it.
Just dont let them know you were the one that called the cops. They must be disturbing other people too.
If the landlord has already known about this he should have done something about it, he shouldnt be renting out your place until it is resolved, what if the boyfriend broke your door down and hurt you, and the landlord could have prevented it all? Just call the cops.

All the advice written so far is absolutely correct...
The neighbors are obviously in violation of their lease agreement and the landlord should do something to evict them.
If he is unagreeable (is that a word?) with this then you need to call the police and get your other neighbors to vouch for the activity.

Something else I thought about...Is the girl in a situation that is dangerous and possibly she needs help to get out of, or is she just as responsible as the bf?

Call the cops anonymously.

Next time when you move somewhere, if the landlord ominously tells you about fighting neighbors potentially banging on your door, heed the red flag and don't move in there.

Call the police and file a report - in writing. You are not responsible for policing the building.

Landlord knowingly rented out a place to you that has potential to be an unsafe environment for you.

I question why you moved in understanding that you were never to open the door for your neighbour??

Move.

Zimba is right--call the cops but really really make sure they know not to tell who called. The only other recourse is to move. You're in danger, girl!

Are you expecting the violence to go away by itself? If this is how they treat ea other, how is it you expect them to treat you? Your landlord is right, call the police. One of them could have ended up dead. Call whenever you feel your safety or another person's safety is at risk....this isn't about being nosey or annoying....this is dangerous.

The next time they come banging on your door, open it and empty a round or two into them. I would safely assume you wouldn't hear from them again.
