Sure why not, I was a Christian kid not allowed to eat or even hunt Easter eggs.
Now, that I'm an Atheist.
I wish there was a such thing as adult easter egg hunts, because I never got to.
And I'm not, about to steal any eggs from kids.

Hey, just think of it as a celebration of spring. Eggs are a symbol of new life just like spring. Let them celebrate the chocolate holiday. When I was a little kid I never thought about the religion part of easter.

Of course. Easter is an old Pagan festival. It's nothing to do with Christianity and besides, all religious connections have pretty much died out, haven't they? It's just "Chocolate Egg Day" now, and kids love chocolate.

Make 'em brush their teeth after though! ;o)

Yes! The egg was a symbol of regeneration and fecundity (I love that word) centuries before the Christians overlaid the spring equinox celebration, and it is still used as a pagan celebration world-wide. So go ahead and be a-theist, eat an egg at eostra!

Sure...call it an exercise in cultural awareness.

Seriously, seeing as how a lot of the Easter traditions (eggs, rabbits, etc.) are an amalgamation of different religious backgrounds, where's the harm?

As an atheist I don't see why you are bothering about this. It is not as though giving an egg to them is going to offend their religion, as they don't have any. It is good to know what other people believe, that does not mean I have to believe it myself. I am interested in what other people believe, it helps me understand their thought processes better. Understanding peoples religion can help understand some of the things that have happened historically, such as the crusades.

Sure they began as pysanky and were created to Christianize everything on Easter including the food. In America we just dip them in dye but they are intended to be quite amazing. Look them up.

Yeah, you dont believe in religion so dont take it so seriously - refusing to give them one is the same as having a religion that doesnt celebrate easter. Stop being stop being so politically correct. Atheism isnt a religion - you can do what you want

Sure. It is about the Easter Bunny. If it were about Easter and Jesus, it would be painted all red. So use other colors and enjoy the day. It is like Christmas, it's for everyone.
