Not sure what Ashlen stands for but, I would assume it is derived from Ashley. BUT....my advice to you would be to make thier names a little more different. Alot of people will probably end up calling them both "Ash" for short. Twins can be confusing enough plus they will definately at some point in time crave individuality. Good luck to you!

What i've got accrued from mom and father of twins.. Rule of thumb, in no way call toddlers with similiar names.. they're going to already get improper sufficient, having Ashley and Ashlen will basically screw issues up extra.. they would be at a loss for words on who's getting reported as via fact the names sound so similiar.. perhaps attempt Ashley and Amanda.. or Ashlen and Adrianna or something... they are in a position to the two have "A" names yet they arent similiar.. i comprehend a sequence of twins with Britney and Breanna the two initiate with BR yet they're very diverse.. It additionally smooths issues over with some distinction between the females call.. you need to even do Ashley and Asia or Ashlen and Asia

quite honestly though..I would not name your twin girls with such similar names. They may resent it. They need to have their own identities. This will cause them much grief I am sure..not to mention that when you are calling one..the other will undoubtedly always answer in error.Trust me on this.
By the way.."Ashley" is originally a boys name.

It means Ashley got the REAL name and yours is a knock off and subordinate but we thought that it enchanced your sister's name by cleverly mirroring it. Give the child a name that distinguishes her as an individual and not the "and also appearing" duplicate of the original copy.
