IT WILL AT FIRST, THEN YOU WILL END UP WITH A REALLY BIG ADDICTION. TRUST ME I KNOW I HAVE HAD A BACK INJURY BETWEEN MY L1 & L2 DISKS FOR 8 YEARS. I ALSO NOW HAVE CANCER. THE DOCTOR'S JUST KEEP ADDING PAIN PILLS. THAT'S THERE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING. I FINALLY DECIDED IT WASN'T THE LONG TERM ANSWER FOR ME SO I TRADED 15 DIFFERENT MEDS FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS. BUT MY MEDICAL CONDITIONS ARE ALL LONG TERM AND UNFIXABLE, BUT I FEEL LIKE A WHOLE NEW PERSON NOW THAT I'M OFF ALL THOSE PILLS.

Yes percocet will help your pain, however you need to go to google and type in percocet. I think you may be surprised at what you read. i had to find out the hard way tho. It is very addictive and very hard to get off of. When used for a short period of time..say, after surgery it is great! Just stop taking them asap after surgery. I hope that you do some research on this medication. It is an opiate. A very very addictive drug!! Once addicted your life becomes a living hell!! I can't believe your doctor actually wrote you a prescription of it for muscle spasms. You actually need a muscle relaxer like soma..however its addictive too!! He must be wanting a guaranteed monthly visit from you. Beware of painkillers...keyword being "killers"

I have never been prescribed Percocet for muscle spasms, but I have had it prescribed for moderate pain symptoms. Percocet is a narcotic pain analgesic. For muscle spasms their are medications which are designed for that purpose, such as Flexeril, Skelaxin, and Soma, just to name a few. And some have also been known to find relief from muscle spasms from anti-anxiety drugs such as Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, just to name a few. Your doctor will know the BEST course of treatment for your ailment.

Percocet is for the pain you should have been prescribed a muscle relaxant as well and they do work. Many prescribe Flexeril ( cyclobenzeprine).

I had percocet for severe muscle pain. It will work, but you should take just enough to get some comfort. Some people get drowsy and naseous from the stuff, however. A good doctor should figure out if it's really appropriate for you. If your pain prevents you from sleeping, I'd say it's ok to take temporarily.

Hi try taking a calcium suppliment with your pain killer, as calcium actually relaxes your muscles.
I have endometriosis which is actually more to do with tissue pain but after a few days causes severe muscle pain due to tension & I find that when I take calcium with my painkiller (T3 btw), that it really makes a huge difference.
As well, a simple heating pad really helps too!
