4 hours of sleep isnt enough, she won't die but her health will deteriate. her immune system will weaken and she will get sick easily. lack of sleep can also cause depression. if she is having a hard time getting or staying asleep for at least 8 hours a night, she might want to think about using a sleep aid.

No dear, one can not die from that. Some people only require a few hours a day, some require much more. Is she other wise in good health? Why does she sleep so few hours? Does she work a lot? Is there a new baby in the house? Does she drink or do drugs? Is she under a lot of stress maybe from financial problems or relationship or work problems? Too many questions need to be answered to help, but stay calm and don't worry. Lack of sleep would make most of us look tired.

you can suffer from overexhaustion... your body has a natural protective mechanism that will shut itself down automatically ( thus passing out) like when drinking or lack of sleep. Long term can make you feel overly tired all the time... you will pass out before anything. as for long term effects it can have an effect on your heart... ask a sleep apnea specialist if ya dont believe me... If your heart gets damaged... and ya only have one heart then guess what it can kill you.

ive read in a magazine that not having enough sleep would shorten your life 5 - 10 years or something. but if you lack sleep and feel tired all day, yould become a walking safety hazzard.

Sleep is important for us all. Without sleep we will eventually become physically ill. Some people who are sleep deprived become emotionally or even mentally ill. So get your sleep.

i tend to feel weak if i get up in the morning after only a few hours sleep, which is all the time as i'm a night owl. i have afternoon catch-up naps to make up for it. my brother is a gym fitness enthusiast. he told me that sleep is necessary to help your body recover, repair, and restore itself.
