Im going to be installing 2 kicker compvr with a kicker zx1000.1 amp and was just wondering if a capacitor would be needed or would I be able to just run it off the stock battery. I hope getting just a capacitor will do the job.

whats are the cca and ca on the battery? if its less than 600cca i would upgrade the battery to an optima instead of a capacitor

edit
also if you do want to go the cap way i would go with this instead of a normal cap. you get more power, its like a 2nd battery just for your subs

i'm gona would desire to declare 2 12s would be louder and sound extra advantageous. I truthfully have 2 of the older style CVRs and that they are particularly loud. additionally you do no longer decide to be finding at max ability. Max ability capacity somewhat no longer something to you. You wana inspect RMS and journey them up. i could bypass for a pair of subs fairly than one. So i could bypass with the two 12s and easily dont turn the ease each and each and each of ways up on the amp. Sparky supplies you help to out with adjusting the ease ideal.

Power cap should work well; you can get some high capacity ones pretty cheap now...

you should be fin with no cap, just hook up the system without one and see how it sounds or if any lights dim, and if everything is looks/sounds fine, then you are good.
