try things like, natural peanut butter, peaches, mango, etc which you could have over cottage cheese, Popcorn ... the plain bagged stuff ... is great and you can get creative with all sorts of toppings and flavorings that you make on your own, controlling salt and fat. unsalted cashews.Or add a sliced banana to yogurt.
Hope that helps.

You should avoid calories from both fats and carbohydrates. The reason being, your body can convert carbohydrates into fat cells, particularly late in the evening, when it knows the sleep cycle is coming up soon.

So to answer your question, one of my favorite low-calorie snacks is pickles (40 calories per ounce). 1/2 cup of cottage cheese is also a favorite of mine, since it's mostly pure protein, which can't be converted to fat. A single piece of fruit (apple, orange) is also a good choice, because it's only about 30 calories. Be moderate with all serving sizes, because it all adds calories.

Veggies with a dip made from no fat sour cream mixed with your fave spices. If you like garlic, just crush a clove into a cup of sour cream and let it fester for awhile. It is yummy and fat free!

Light yogurt, it has a good balance of carbs and protien to keep you going.

String sheese for a protien boost. You can pair that with about 10 grapes.

Hand full of nuts.

This question reminds of the movie "Analyze This", where one of the other gangsters asks Jelly
"Hey, what kind of a sandwich has less fat?", and Jelly replies, "Half a sandwich." =o)~~

Whatever you are munching on, start out by cutting it in half!

Good luck.
