Is there any particular reason you picked the number 115? I have seen weight charts and that would basically put you in the underweight category, which isn't any healthier than being overweight. You are the same height as me, which means you are overweight, but just barely. 130 to 140 would be just about perfect. 130 would look quite lean (trust me). You could even maybe do 125, but 115 would make you look absolutely skeletal, and you couldn't get down to that weight by June doing anything even remotely safe or good for your health. I would shoot for 140-ish by June (which is perfectly acceptable), because you can't really lose more than three or four pounds a week safely, and even if you did, again you would just mess up your metabolism and it would all come back.
As for your diet...I'm not confident you'll meet all your nutrients on a diet of jello, water and lettuce. It almost sounds...ummmm, anorexic? All that will do is make you feel desperate, and it won't help you at all after June passes. May I recommend a vegetarian diet? Just cut the simple sugars, carbs and meat and that will help a lot. A commitment like that could help you lose the weight and create a permanent healthy lifestyle, whereas a diet of broth and jello will do absolutely nothing for you.
Losing weight is as simple as this: burn more calories then you take in. At your age, if you have a shake (like Kashi's GoLean) for lunch and go to the gym for 30 to 60 minutes several times a week, that will probably do it.

I'm around your height and used to be your weight. Keep in mind that muscle weighs a lot more than fat does. So "looking skinny" will not come with the scale going down, and while you'll definitely lose weight on your veg diet, it will make you fatter in the long run since being starved so badly, you'll have no energy to work out. Consequently, you'll lose a lot of muscle while your body hoards the fuel it's not getting. Where will it store it? In FAT of course. When you're eating normally again, you WILL balloon.
What's better? Turn your body into a fuel-efficient machine. Up your calories, go to at least 2000 calories. Make sure they're healthy, get lots of vitamins and minerals. Spend at least an hour on the treadmill and/or exercise bicycle and/or jogging, EVERY DAY. Lift weights every other day. You can burn off 1000+ calories in an hour doing this, and your body will get used to burning a lot of calories. If it's too much, break your routine into two half-hour workout sessions, one in the morning and one in the evening.
After two weeks of this routine, gradually lower your calorie count until you're at about 1700. You'll drop to about 135 to 140 pounds in your target time, which should be more than skinny enough for a girl of your height. This weight, unlike the diet method, will not come back unless you stop exercising entirely.

Not to sound mean, but are you serious?
I bet you are barely chunky. ..definitely not fat!! But, If you want my opinion If you lost maybe 20 pounds or so you would probably look great...but I am 5'4" and at 125 pounds, I am a size 4. I'm skinny at 115 (I have weighed between 102-and looked repulsive-and 150...and was alittle chunky...size 10-12) and feel fine at 125...so, just eat healthy, drink alot of water and exersize when you can (and if you can deal with it, dont eat meat....I have kept off 25 pounds for 6 years by going veg...but it isn't for everyone)
Of course you need to do this for yourself...the hell with what the other wankers think! What does your doctor say?
Im no physician, but I know alot about health and nutrition and I gotta say, at 160 lbs, you don't sound fat. And as far as guys are concerned....they dont like skinny chick.s..beleive me....men like curves.
And please don't compare yourself to rediculous celebs....aside from being full of BS, they are too DAMN SKINNY. And the ones that look healthy...LIE about their weight. (There is NOWAY a healthy woman can be 5'5" and 105 lbs and look good. Sorry, like I said I at one point weighed 102..at 5'4"...and I was so skinny, you could see my ribs and backbone...real UNsexy.
Goodluck and don't sweat it (unless youre sweating in the gym..which is good for you regardless of your weight)
:)

115 is under weight for 5'7". The minimum is around 130.
Do light cardio in the morning before breakfast. That way, you'll use up stored fat as energy rather than food.
You can probably still eat normally if you are conscientious, and exercise hard.

The ideal weight for a female your age and your height is between 110 and 120. As to how fast you can lose the pound, that all depends on your metabolism. If it is fast, it may take you a few months. Good Luck!

I think someone who is 5'7"-5'8" weighing 115 would look too skinny. 115lbs is the weight for someone who's like.. 5'2".
