We are having a special feast. What would be a great veggie to serve with the ham?

try a veg medley broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, red peppers, pea pods steamed top with butter and Parmesan cheese

You can never go wrong with green beans cooked down with bits of ham (preferrably bits of country ham with some fat still on,) and a dash of salt. Cook in a pot with a good bit of water until it boils down and the water is almost gone - 15 or 20 minutes would do it. The green beans will be limp and very tasty.

At least, that's a southern standard, one that we have every year with our hams. "Greasy green beans" is what they're called.

Baked sweet potatoes. Just scrub them, wrap in foil, put on a sheet pan and bake like you would a regular potato. Serve with butter, salt and pepper. That's what we are having this year.

We always have corn on the cob.
Its a no fuss veggie.
My mother in law puts a little milk in her water.
Or maybe you can fix creamed peas, usually not a favorite with children.

green beans are my all time favortie but the little red potatos baked with butter and herbs are very good too! or the classic mashed potatos i dont think you can ever go wrong with. enjoy your feast and happy easter and god bless

fried green or yellow squash, or fried okra .macaroni salad. pea salad. this is not a vegetable. but we make chicken and dressing for Holiday dinner's . Lot's of people like dressing
