Old Testament? I would check out the rules and regulations in Deuteronomy. Its the "law book" that guys like Paul were raised on until they embraced the "new" teachings of Jesus.
Good luck.

How about picking a person or concept and studying it in the Old Testament. For example, study everything in the OT involving Samuel.
Or select a subject/word, and by using a concordance trace its use from Genesis to Revelation.
Such topical studies could be:
1. About people: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, etc.
2. About places: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, etc.
3. About important objects: The Ark, the Temple, etc.
4. About themes: Prophecy: etc.
5. About words: Choose one Hebrew/Greek word
6. About doctrines: Salvation, sanctification, etc.
Select a Bible book and discover everything you can about it. The book of Proverbs has a wide variety of topics in it. One way to study its different topics is to list them under different headings.

One of my favorite books in the O.T. is Ruth, there are so many types and parallels of Christ in it. A really good life study is the life of David.
But one thing that I would recommend is any study by Beth More. You can find a lot of her studies in most Christian book stores. You will definitely be blessed.
Blessings!

Read the story of Jonah, another servant of God, for whom things turned out much differently than expected.
Jon 1:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonas, the son of Amathi, saying:
Jon 1:2 Arise and go to Ninive, the great city, and preach in it: For the wickedness thereof is come up before me.
Jon 1:3 And Jonas rose up to flee into Tharsis from the face of the Lord, and he went down to Joppe, and found a ship going to Tharsis: and he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them to Tharsis from the face of the Lord,

The book of Daniel! Our ladies' bible study just finished a 7 month study of the book and I can't believe what God showed me about my own life through this man of God. It also talks alot about things to come, which in this day and age, are very appropriate! God bless you!
