me and my family are currently low on income
and we cant afford to waste money
my dad is a really bad guy..he never cared for me nor he raised me
he never paid child support or any of our needs((and we have proof))
we got a letter theat said my dad owe 24000 dollers and there gona take itr from our tax return for every year untill it is paid
is their anyway for us to do so we get our tax return and not pay he due
my dad is not is the us
and my parents were married at the time but they have been divorced for the last 8years so what do you think?
plz help

If your parents were married and filed a joint return at the time the tax bill was created, then the IRS will come after the taxpayers on the returns in question.

You can call the Taxpayer Advocate and relay the content of the letter and see if anything can be done for you. Get the phone number here.

Ninas right. Your mother may be an innocent spouse. That will get her out of having to pay for your father's taxes. See IRS Publication 971. http://www.irs.gov/publications/p971/index.html
