I can never quite reconcile the "Prince of Peace" with the idea of such movements as "Battle Cry," and all the militaristic "warrior for Jesus" nonsense.

Jesus, if he were the deity some think him, could have easily defeated those who crucified him. But he didn't. He went to his death rather calmly, accepting the will of God.

Now, we have all these "Christian Soldiers" on the battle lines, ready to Kill for Christ.

What happened? Was it Constantine who got these people all militaristic and violent?

While I may be incorrect, "Battle Cry" is based on the Salvation Army, and this is one of their slogans. It is nothing more than a call to rally those who will to service for evangelism. The "war" is about saving the lost from hell by telling them the good news of what Jesus did for mankind by offering a way to salvation that can only be obtained by Jesus through His sacrifice for mankind. That is all the "Battle Cry" is about. It isn't any different in it's end than any other Christian movement to get the people, or kids, to rally to the effort to spread the gospel to a world in desperate need of it. I think you need to find out what something is all about before attacking it. Your question, in my opinion, makes you look a bit foolish for taking off on such a wild tangent.

Yes, that's exactly what they are. Why would a religion that's supposed to be about love and forgiveness be teaching children about doing battle? I think it exposes their true agenda which is not salvation. It's dominion and war on freedom. Soldiers for Christ....are they kidding? When did Christ order children to kill for him....he didn't.

Battle Cry is an awesome group. Just because you don't like Christ, Christians, or our faith in the former, doesn't mean that your opinion is the right one.

No. Although I haven't been to one, I had a friend who's teenagers went an it's all about love and Jesus....it had nothing to do with hate....there were some demonstrators there but they were hired to try and make trouble.

i suppose they will be titled that someday, probably when that belief gets so strong that they ban the bible in the 'free' usa, like china and russia. then we'll know the end is getting very close. hate groups typically whine about other's behavior, it looks like bc just doesn't want to be subjected to all of the garbage in today's society. is that hatred ? or are you afraid of something...
