My cousin is a missionary in Mexico. Her mission organization in not considered a non-profit down there, but she would like to open a non-profit bank account here in the U.S. so that Americans can contribute to her cause. Can she do that? If so, are there only certain banks that will allow it? What does she need to do in order to open an account for her organization here in the U.S.? (http://www.misiondepaz.org/) Yes, that's a link for the organization. Thanks in advance for all of your help!!!

Post Script: She would like to use the organization's name so that contributors don't feel uncomfortable about giving. And it ensures that the monies are actually going to the organization.

She needs to register there as a NGO. Non Govt. Org. Have her talk to another NGO to see if they can give advice.
