Depends on whether the person didn't believe out of ignorance or chose not to believe. Living a good, kind life is not what gets you saved in the first place, but should instead be a manisfestation of your faith and character. The reason is that everyone has sinned and needs to be forgiven, and the only way to be forgiven is through faith. Everyone has hated someone or had bad thoughts at some point, so you can't say "I haven't sinned because I never commit crimes".

My personal opinion. I believe if they live a good life then they are fulfilling what God wanted and they will move onto heaven. I believe that hell is actually on earth. We are all here to learn and we will be doomed to repeat our lives and mistakes until we get it right and climb out of hell and into the kingdom of God.
You may not believe in Bird Flu either, but that doesn't mean you won't end up with it!! Live a decent life you will be fine.

Christ taught that in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven you must be converted and become as little children i.e. be innocent.

You also need to consider is going to hell a permanent thing? Often when the Holy Bible refers to hell, it is just referring to the grave (Hades in Greek and Sheol in Hebrew), which believers and non-believers alike will go to.

Even after death the Holy Bible speaks of Hell as being temporary and that death AND hell would deliver up their dead.

Christ after his crucifixion taught the gospel to the spirits in "prison," which the Bible says some were disobedient during the time of Noah. I have to assume that Christ taught these once disobedient spirits in prison for a reason, otherwise he was just wasting His time. I would say that He taught them the gospel after they had died, so that they could be converted and become as little children and thereby gain entry into the kingdom of heaven.

Though the scriptures speak of eternal or everlasting punishment, it should be remembered that Eternal and Everlasting are names and attributes of God, so when the scriptures refer to eternal or everlasting punishment that just as eternal or everlasting life is God's reward, so eternal or everlasting punishment is God's punishment, not that the punishment will never end. The God of the Bible is a forgiving God and wants to forgive as many who will repent, whether they repent in this life or the next.

The scriptures also speak of more than one heaven, with different types of glory. I suspect that which heaven or mansion you finish up in will depend on how good you are and how quickly you repent.

Yes. No one is saved by what they do. Why? Because the bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. A holy God cannot look upon any sin. That is why Jesus went to the cross, to pay the penalty for every single sin everyone has ever committed. However, only those who admit they have sinned, repent, and accept Christ as savior will go to heaven.

John 3:16 is probably the most quoted bible verse. It plainly says "those who BELIEVE" in Jesus. Many will refuse to believe, and they will go to hell, no matter how "good" they might think they are.

well, it would depend on the sect of Christian but most Christians i've encountered believe that no matter how good a person is, they aren't perfect so they will be tortured forever if they don't become Christian and have their imperfection erased by Jesus' blood sacrifice.

what this essentially means is that a saintly Hindu who spent his life in self imposed poverty caring for the sick and destitute goes to hell while a war profiteering CEO of a massive weapons making company, whose deals have caused untold death, destruction and misery, will go to heaven as long as he's a Christian.

if you're a Christian this concept appears as justice somehow.

Hello. To be plain and simple with you friend, there is one way to heaven: by receiving forgiveness of sins from Jesus. Jesus Christ is THE only way to heaven, and just being a good person or good soul will not make it automatically. Ultimately only God knows what happen with the person's soul. That's why these false religions and man made devisings are bad.. for which God will judge them. There is NO purgatory, no scales to see if the good outweighs the bad, and the like. There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism and way to heaven and to TRUE englightenment: Jesus of Nazareth. He is the only way, and He said any who've come by another way are is not right. This is TRUTH and every man must choose his spiritual destiny.

Absolutely...God won't care how bad that sounds. Seems cruel, but that's what He's actually trying to "save you from."

Living a good, kind life has nothing to do with why Jesus came to the earth in the first place. People were kind before Jesus got there.
Why would He want to get crucified on a cross for something that was already existing? It would have been 4 nothing.

He did it to save you from eternal death. And all you have to do is believe that He died for you and was raised from the dead.

If they do not put their trust in our Jesus, then yes they will go to hell. There is only 1 way, the Blood of Christ. You read it here, so you will not be able to say you didn't know. If you reject the Christ, you will remember this post on judgement day. Accept him today for you know not what tomorrow will bring.

Salvation is by grace alone. No one can be "good" enough to earn there way into heaven. It doesnt matter how good they are if havent accepted Jesus as there lord and savior then they will go to hell.
