Sounds good, doesn't it?

"Employer accountability is key!" or words to that effect.

So now the employers are out on bond and one even being given permission to travel abroad during the wait for a trial. I am really impressed.

I am impressed that 400 people lined up to take the jobs that the arrested workers left. On the other hand, I note that only 30 of them had been hired as of an article yesterday.

And meanwhile, people are saying how inhumane enforcement of our laws are, if those who break the law are punished.

I am really missing something in that argument.

Thanks for the link, though.

That's the only way we are going to stop illegal immigration. Arrest, jail and fine the owners of the businesses who hire them.

Berating the immigrants, protesting and shouting at them isn't going to do it.

Our government MUST enforce the laws already in play.......that is what is going on here.

Now they need to go after the agribusiness in California and the "street corner employers" in our cities and towns.

Immigration officers should do this more often and fine the company with huge amounts of money. I wonder what happens with the illegals. Are they set free or immediately deported?

Deport them all.

These companies who hired illegals should be fined heavily and have to pay to send them back to Mexico.

I think it is about time. The immigration laws should be enforced, this would help to deter illegal immigration. I also believe the companies that knowingly hire illegals should be filed on, this would stop many of them. Amnesty is not the answer, enforcing the laws is the answer.

I think they went over the line and got what they deserved. Believe it or not, the U.S. wants people to go though the proper channels to work here. These people were given ILLEGAL Social Security Numbers and that alone holds a sentence.

I say...good for the Feds, for a change. They're starting to clamp down on the illegals.

I think they deserved prosecution. I do not mind legal immigrants. It is the illegal ones that need to go back. Also, often times those that hire them cheat them and pay way less than their legal or English speaking counterparts. If I gotta pay taxes everyone should pay taxes.
