No one should be verbal abusing anyone, especially putting you in to panic, sounds like a nice guy, kick him to the curb don't give him your mental stability

set boundaries with him/her. tell your partner that you will not allow anyone to talk to you that way and make sure he understands that there will be consequences (treat him like a child). if he continues to speak to you in an unkind and disrespectful way, either leave or ask him to leave.
verbal abuse is the precursor to physical abuse. now that you know, take responsibility for your actions.
