Pharmaceutically speaking, the drug potency is 90% at the date of expiration, it will still work on most of the drug but you should also take into consideration that the drug to be taken is a life saving drug..

I am assuming then that he is currently under the care of a doctor. The doctor should refill the prescription. Expired prescriptions usually are not dangerous, they are just less potent and therefore are not as effective.

I would not think that this short amount of time would make a difference. You might call the doctor's office and talk to one of the nurses.

well if they are expired for too long you can run the risk of them not working.... but a few days wont hurt i guess... just make sure that the are not spotted...... sometimes when meds go bad, they have a tendency to change colors o become spotted and fade....... just make sure you monotor it closly and get him new meds as soon as possible........ goo luck

It's not a good idea. Have the doctor call in the prescription again.

Usually a few days wont matter. My mom still has drugs from a few years ago and they still work.
