It depends on the shape of the mirror. Most mirrors are flat and therefore reflect back exactly what is in front of it. If the surface was concave or convex, then the reflection would be different.
Just like looking at your reflection in a pool, it will always be the same orientation as yourself.

Duh...because the mirror is reflecting, not creating, the image of the area in front of it.
