If it was an accident, I'd say no, but your question makes it sound like the steak was deliberate.
If someone is a vegan, which takes a lot of time and effort, they are one because they have strong beliefs they want to adhere to. You are being disrespectful when you ignore or dismiss these beliefs.

that is very wrong but sooooo funny! Chances are your vegan friend is doing it for ethical reasons. So think about something you find wrong or offensive, say child pornography. Now what if a friend new this and intentionally put images all over your home. Would you be offended?
