You may be experiencing something called disassociation. It is a brain's defensive manuever to protect you. Say a person experiences some trauma, then their brain pulls them back from the world a little bit so they can rest and heal.
It is a normal experience. If you are depressed or stressed out, your brain can basically say "OK enough of that stressful crud, I'm going to retreat for a while."
So this can be a sign that you have either experienced trauma or are stressed out or depressed. It doesn't have to be something big, even a bunch of little things can add up.
So what should you do? I would suggest doing some things that relax or pamper you. That could be something like just lying around doing nothing, or going for a walk someplace peaceful, or massaging your feet, or reading a good book or comic.
Think about what is stressing you and maybe find a way to lessen it. If getting homework done is a problem, make yourself do it before you get to do something fun for a reward. If people (parents, friends) are bugging you, maybe say you have a lot of homework and retreat to your room and relax and read or listen to music.
At wikipedia I found this quote:
" in the normal population mild dissociative experiences are highly prevalent, with 80% to 90% of the respondents indicating that they have had dissociative experiences at least some of the time" So you are normal. Rejoice!

Hey, sweetie I don't think you are mental as you called it!Buddy, being a teen can be such an awful experience for alot of people. More so in boys than in girls. Feelings of hopelessness and not being good enough for society. I not sure what you mean by things not being real. I guess if you are like the teen that lives in my street, the cops are there every night, he doesn't go to school, he's a thief, a trouble maker, and even a **** kicker and slave for a bikie gang. How real does that sound! yet it is very true. Not a nice life i would assume. Ive got 2 boys and i worry about them growing into teenagers. As a mum I'd hope they would come to me with any of the anxiety's that I'm sure they will experience. Go talk to mum or aunt or someone you feel comfortable talking to even dad ?? A parents love mate...nothing compares to it...we all want the best for our kids! Try it! good luck!

You need to see someone e,g, a counsellor or a doctor, to talk more about this. You haven't given enough information, but it sounds like you are in the early stages of depression. The earlier it's diagnosed, the sooner you can get treatment, & will start to feel better. Depression can often be treated without drugs, & more often than not, is temporary. But it must be diagnosed sooner, rather than later. God Bless.

I'm not really sure if you mean metaphorically (personalities) or actually physically but I can definitely relate to the metaphorical sense. The only thing I know is real is me and since others can relate to me and seem to have the same characteristics I have, I can only assume that those others are real. But this sounds like something you have to figure out for yourself. But I can assure you, I know I am real!

Tell your parents and yes see a doctor. It could be your blood sugar is messed up or a hormonal thing. If you have not been doing drugs, sniffing something or drinking then there must be something going on or you may be clinically depressed.... I will pray for you...Father I ask that you touch this young one, give him /her wisdom to help get to the root of this problem. Your word says that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed and I ask that you send healing in Jesus name...amen

Teenage years can be agony. Unless it's seriously disrupting your school or your ability to enjoy things on a regular, ongoing basis, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
