Maybe, but you know, it's good to know the lingo of those you're messing with before you try anything. The regulars make up a reasonable portion of the audience & grok how to do this. There's a larger population of lurkers who at least mostly get it. The trolls - and I'm pretty sure that's what they are - are most likely neither of the above.
Either they've not taken the time to learn how we spar with language, or they're trying to provoke. If the former then we're best ignoring until they learn to speak "correctly"; if the latter, then best to ignore.
Barring correcting such trolls so that the lurkers and passersby don't buy this misinformation, that's probably best. But for regulars, generally recognized and known, it isn't an issue. Those posts are generally fairly obvious, and at worst a disclaimer towards the end doesn't hurt if you feel like you might be too subtle.

We shouldn't get mad at people who legitimately have questions about tattooing and body mods, but there does seem to be a lot of jerk-offs just going into groups and posting asinine comments that don't help the asker and just provoke reasonable answers to this point of frustration. Some sarcastic comments are funny, but coming into a group just to be annoying or cause you need to vent against the askers/questioners is lame.
I would say yes ignore, but definitely report abuse

I don't think it's wrong...I think alot of how people take it can be based on the way that a question is worded. There are some that are TOTALLY off base but there are those that while odd, can still be taken seriously if not written with enough sarcastic tones? People know who the regulars are in this area in general.

I'm with Rider on this one.
I think the main reason I don't post half the weird crap I think of is because I really don't feel like being reported and most people either can't take a joke or don't realize that something truly obscene and ridiculous must be a joke. Plus if someone was really going to tattoo a cat or baby they definitely would keep it to themselves knowing that people would freak out and report it :-P

WHAT?!?! There are sarcastic questions in the tattoo category?? Does that mean that I should NOT have tattooed my kitten last night? DAMNIT!!!!!
I do not think it is wrong, and if any of us lunatics are a little unsure when we start sarcastic mayhem with a question, we are all careful to put in a tiny disclaimer at the bottom. If people still believe that, then it proves my point that 90% of the people in this world are morons anyways, and should be treated as such. None of my tattooed regulars fit into this category, of course ;)

Im all for sarcasm....seeings as I'm a huge smart @ss, 90% of the time, and when people post joke questions, I find them amusing...sometimes. I just dont like when people post questions, or answers telling us that we're stupid, gross, dirty, ignorant, and basically horrible people because of our tattoos. I dont think theyre stupid for not having them, so what right do they have to think I am stupid for having them? Plus, when the "regulars" do it, other regulars recognize them and know where theyre coming from. When new people show up and start doing it, you don't know if theyre serious, or just joking around.

No I don't think it's wrong at all, it's like pay back for answering the same questions over and over about aftercare and listening to the cynics bash tattoos on almost every one of our questions. If there were no sarcastic coments or questions ever I wouldn't be as amused with the tattoo section.

and here is a sub-question... i got tattooed on saturday and now my skin is melting off of my body. did i do something wrong? what is happening? am i going to die? please help!
