Definitely, and it shows since there is such a shortage. No way do they pay them enough to deal with the disgusting crap they have to do every single day.

It depends on what type of nurse and where in the country they work and how smart they are. Some do real good it is the average nurse that doesn't make out as well.

Not at All

Nurses are the mainstay of the medical system. without them doctors could not cope. they are the front line and protect doctors from the hardest times.

If not for a nurse i would be dead. the doctor had missed a major artery and had to be rushed back to surgery.

nurses knowledge is much broarder than a doctor ... they have to cope/deal with such a range of tasks.

Generally, nurses who work in hospitals do very well. However, nurses who work in doctor's offices usually do not fare nearly as well, although their hours and working conditions tend to be better.

my friend's mom is an RN. she makes $120,000 a year! i think nurses are doing just fine
