Just curious, what's the gas used in the gas chamber? I went through basic last summer, but I don't remember what it's called or anything.

C-s gas.CS or 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile (also called O-Chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile)(chemical formula: C10H5ClN2) is a substance that is used as a riot control agent and is usually claimed to be non-lethal by the forces who use it. CS was discovered by two Americans, Ben Carson and Roger Staughton in 1928, the first letters of the scientists' surnames giving us the name of the substance, "CS".[4] It was developed and tested secretly at Porton Down in Wiltshire, England. Apparently this testing occurred in the 1950s and 1960s when CS was used firstly on animals, then subsequently on British Army servicemen volunteers. Notably CS has a limited effect on animals due to "under-developed tear-ducts and protection by fur".[5]

Members of the United States Army, Marines, and Air Force are trained with CS grenades, that are lobbed into a crowed "Gas Chamber". While members of the United States Navy are trained using CS tablets that are lowered onto a hot plate and melted. While other Armed Forces call it "The Gas Chamber, the Navy calls it's training "The Confidence Chamber", because it is said that the CS gas gives confidence to the sailors.
