Call the police.
I've never heard of anyone other than convicted animal abusers being ordered to stay away from animals, BUT you can report her for animal cruelty. They may not arrest her, but I'm guessing that a nice talking-to by a couple of cops might let her know what sort of trouble she can get into if she ever harms your dog.

I doubt it. You may be able to have her charged with animal cruelty if she actually hurts your dog. You might have to get a crate for him to keep him under control if he's getting on people's nerves, or a halter and leash and keep him with you all the time. Be sure to clean up his poop wherever you go. Get him some chew bones and toys so he doesn't destroy other people's stuff. If you don't have a place of your own, you have to respect other people's property. My son moved home with his two dogs, and for some reason he refuses to clean up after them, so I have to clean up their poop or step in it when I go into my own yard. They push the couch cushions off, get underfoot when I'm cooking, snatch any food they can get to--can't even put a bag of groceries down. So much as I love dogs, these guys are getting on my nerves and I would never hurt them because they were not trained right, but it does take away from any pleasure of having them around.

Go after her with a pitchfork. Don't cross that line and hurt her, but ask her how it feels. Look her in the eye and tell her to leave your dog alone.

It depends on the age of your cousin. If she is a child I would tell her parents. If that doesn't work I would tell her that if she hurts animals the police will come and arrest her.
If she is an adult I would tell her that you are well aware that she has tried to hurt your dog and you will press charges of animal cruelty against her and she will be arrested if she does it again.....
Hope this helps....

it is against the law in most states to abuse animals, call the police on her she can get in big trouble for abusing an animal, you have to figure out a different living arrangement if your living in the same household as your cousin, but what i would do is confront her and let her know it is not ok for her to abuse your dog and warn her if she does it again you will press charges.

How old is the couisn. I would sit down with her & her parents & tell them what happened if your cousin is very young she may need to be taught the proper way to behave around animals but definalty put your foot down & tell your cousin under no circumstance is she to be alone with the dog at anytime. try going over to www.aspca.org they should have answers & information to help you deal with this

Do you live with your cousin? Maybe talk to her parents and your parents and have them give her a strong talk because harming a dog gets you a jail sentence just like you would get harming a human.

Animals for the most part are treated as property in most states, so if you can prove she is trying to damage your property then you might win. You can certainly try. Do you live with her?
