He has parvo... you have to take him to the vet. He lost the lining of his stomach. He has to get a shot. If you can't take him then try to give him gatoraid and chicken broth but he won't make it unless you take him to the vet.

I am sorry your dog is ill. At 7 years of age, can I assume he is current and up to date on his vaccinations?
When did this start? How much water is he drinking, if any?
I suggest getting a syringe, like the type that comes with liquid medicine, and squirting water into his mouth every 5-10 minutes to keep him from getting dehydrated. Pedialyte is also a great idea, to keep his electrolytes up. Stay away from the gatorade..the sodium may be to high.
Chicken broth and rice is also a good idea. Feed him small amounts through out the day. If he won't eat the rice, you can syringe feed him some chicken broth as well.
He may have eaten something that has upset his tummy. Or he may have a very severe case of worms. Or he could have a blockage. Ask the vet to do a fecal..here it is only $12 because if that is the problem, it is affordable to treat.
Not all worms are visible in the dog's feces, so you may not have had any clue your dog had them.
My website has a list of places that help with vet bills. See if you can contact one of them and receive help.

I would seriously take your dog to the vet the yellow stuff he is throwing up is stomach bile which means he has no water or food in his system. It is expesnive but call around you might find a vet that will be willing to work with you on the cost like set up a payment plan. But since your dog is 7 years old it is very unlikely that it would be parvo. Because parvo is normally a puppy sickness but do take him to the vet because my dog Oreo did the same thing & he had gotten into some rotten food that our neighbors threw out. If you do give your dog pedialite do not give him the grape because Grapes are toxic to dogs

I don't know what he has, but if he's thrown up more than once in the past 12 hours and he's been lethargic like that longer than one day, you will have to find SOME way to get him veterinary treatment. It is very important that you do so.
Some vets will allow you to go on a monthly payment plan; and/or they will accept credit cards. Or, you will have to find someone to borrow the money from.
If you simply have absolutely no options to pay for the necessary medical care, it would probably be in the dog's best interest to turn him over to a rescue or humane society organization where they will treat him and then adopt him out once he gets better.

The best thing to do is call your local animal emergency clinic. Vomiting yellow stuff, is usually bile. Drinking and eating is a good thing. but feed bland food. if he isn't moving around much it could be a lot of different things. If he is 7 yrs and is up to date on his shots it probably isn't parvo... Parvo is kind of rare in adult dogs, especially if vaccinated. But definitely call your local emergency or 24 hour clinic, it would prolly be best to let them know up front that money is an issue, having worked at a vets office before it isn't cool to wait until the last minute. Good Luck!

He sounds like he has parvo and is going to die unless you get him to the vet. He needs an IV. If you want your pet to live, you need to take him to the vet, seriously. If you have a turkey baster or something, you can try to give him water that way, or chicken broth, but he really needs an IV since he will just throw all the water up.

You HAVE to take him to the vet. I am sure your vet will let you work out a payment plan. Do you want to end up with a dead dog in your house? Why do people who can't afford pets insist on keeping them?! That is cruelty to animals to not get him help. Would you let a member of your family get sick like that and not help them?

Call your vet or a vet ER NOW. You need to talk to them about what is going on. There are hundreds of things that could be wrong ... as simple as a bad choice of food (we all know what dogs will eat, to yes something as scary as parvovirus) ... or something serious. More info is necessary to give ANY sort of diagnosis!

Is dog drinking any water at all? If so, that's a good sign.
If you're worried, take him to the vet. They won't ask for payment until after they've seen him. Then, you just tell them you don't have it & they'll have to bill you.
