what is the voltage across the light bulb?
please tell me how u did it too!

12 volts. The switch has little if any discernible resistance, so that can be left out of consideration. The only other load to the battery is the lamp. The full voltage of the battery is going to appear across the lamp. Don't make things more complicated than they have to be.

The voltage across the light bulb is 12 volts only when the switch is closed (on).

When the switch is off, then the light bulb has 0V across it, while the switch has 12V across it.
