If they came here and told us they have watched and studied the planet for millions of years would your faith be shaken?

Even if they stated they could demonstrate the evolution of the ecosystem.

Being a pantheist with higher education in the fields of science, no. I wouldn't be shaken or even surprised!

faith is extraordinarily resilient, on condition that both demons and angels are extraterrestrial existence kinds. What if those extraterrestrials were even extra non secular than earthmen? could atheists then all without delay change their minds and change into believers if extraterrestrials were believers? I doubt it. What in the adventure that your extraterrestrial existence became out to be bacteria like or like jellyfish? How could any of that impression non secular beliefs? If God can create existence in the international, why no longer elsewhere than earth? because it appeared to be an ordinary ingredient for God to do in the international, it can be only as ordinary on places except earth. In sum, there is not any longer a large gamble that extraterrestrial existence could heavily disturb non secular human beings. For them it can be only extra potential converts on different planets, if a number of the existence kinds were sapient (as different from purely vegetative or sentient) --- the very similar ingredient as learning unsuspected human beings interior the "New international" of about 500 years in the past. I would perhaps begin to believe in flying saucers (if they proved beyond a doubt that they were really ancient extraterrestrials). But I doubt that anyone would take the word of an alleged alien unless they had some pretty strong evidence to prove a) that they are not Earthly hoaxers and b) that their evidentiary trail is sound by our standards (if in fact we could comprehend it in its fullness). They can state what they like, but can they prove it? Certainly if this was a genuine event and not a clever prank, it would change (or perhaps confirm) my views on the nature of the universe and the life to be found in it.

Why do you have any faith in "extraterrestrial life", when there is no scientific evidence...none...that there is any intelligent life anywhere within our capacity to witness it...other than here on earth?

There is no evidence at all...does that shake your faith?

Aliens would not change my faith (Catholism) at all. Actually it would strengthen it. God created everything seen and unseen. Means God created the aliens and the planets that they live on. I'd be interested in knowing what other lifeforms are out there and if they are aware of their Creator.

Look at it this way. They can come over here from lightyears away and we can't even get a manned mission to mars. They would obviously be much more educated and wise than us.If they said the universe started because a cosmic whale ejaculated it into existence, I would be inclined to believe them.

Go to any major city or a beach area and you will see some freaky things that have to be aliens. So no to your question.

Yes. That would be pretty compelling evidence that my faith in a literal interpretation of Genesis has been entirely misplaced. So go on, introduce me to one of these beings...oh, what's that? You can't? You still can't prove anything? Darn...another false alarm...
