I AM a streetfighter. Been in countless fights, usually outnumbered...always out gunned.
Fighting people in single numbers is easy...you just have to know the main rules.
1. Dont be a prize fighter, be a "surprize" fighter. Always feign weakness before fighting. The more arrogant and unsuspecting they are, the easier it is for you to hit them.
2. Strike hard!!! If they have mid length hair...its always good to use it. Whichever way you pull their hair, their head has to go. Ive always found pulling the back of the hair down and repeated knees to the face will usually shut someone up.
3. Fight DIRTY!!! Despite this forum, fighting in real life has no honor. Your fighting to survive. Remember, a minor slip, a way you bang your head on the ground..and your not coming home.
4. If at ALL possible, use a weapon. If always been a fan of blunt objects, but dont hit anywhere that will cause permanent damage (like the head). Aim for the thighs, the arms. No joints. If you have to fight, you may catch a charge for assault.
5. Above all else...commit to the move. Once the opportunity is up...dont hesistate...

The blogbaba was always the kid who fought the bully, and I am sorry to say my early record was less then stellar. Still, you can take only so many beatings from the bully before you start learning how to hide your chin behind your shoulder, and the value of throwing the first punch. I do not condone violence, and caution you to avoid the fight if you can. Unfortunately, sometimes violence is unavoidable. AgentZer... has a valid point, a hard straight right to the center of the bully's face does wonders for clogged sinus's and will put an end to the aggression if it lands. Even if the bully continues to try and fight you, the fountain of blood from the crushed nose, the swelling of both eyes, and the general discomfort of having you pounding away at her instead of groveling should work in your favor.
Just remember the blogbaba's first rule of street fighting.
(1.) A good run beats a bad fight every time.
The blogbaba has no shame in his game, and I have run from many a street fights. I was at a closed circuit broadcast of the first DeLaHoya/Chavez fight, and my buddy caused about a hundred fights after it, and the blogbaba ran like a rabbit.
I do not consider it cowardly to abandon a madman to well over a hundred distraught Mexican boxing fans who just suffered through 6 rounds of watching their beloved Grand Champion Hero get beaten to a bloody pulp by a young American Gold medelist, while being continuously taunted through out the fight by my friend.
Good luck , and I hope it doens't end in a fight.

Whatever you do, do NOT revert to the usual ineffective tactics girls use in fights. Swinging your arms like a windmill, scratching, taking off your shoe to hit her. . .please!
You didn't say how old you or the other girl are, but I'm guessing you're either grade school or middle school age. I learned back when I was in school that a lot of the girls do not know how to fight, which is why they start hair-pulling, scratching, and pounding on someone with no plan or effective technique. Not to advocate fighting (because there is always a better way to handle most things), but make sure you hit first -- with a fist -- and hit hard enough to make her feel it. Sometimes that first hit will make a bully back off and think twice about bothering you again.
Be wary about anyone picking where they want you to fight. Is the parking lot in a place with heavy traffic, or is it hidden off of the street? Be careful, because she might have several of her friends waiting nearby to help her jump you, and that's a bigger problem.

I've never fought on the street before, I'd rather avoid it.
But seeming that this chick is coming for you whether you like it or not, I'd suggest getting the first shot in.
What I've learned from kickboxing, if I throw the first punch and hurt them, they'll know to back off and approach me with caution. If I don't throw that threatenting punch, my opponent will think I'm weak and they'll go in for the kill everytime.
Throw that hard punch first, it's says 'Back off or you'll get another one!'

*NOT CONDONING FIGHTING*
BUT if someone is coming for you...
1. DON'T back up... just takes power from your punches.
2. Dunno if you're righty or lefty... I'll assume righty. STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND. I guarantee she'll be lookin for wild hooks. Straight right down the pipe will make her quit on the spot if you connect. If you miss, keep throwing it.
BUT don't go fight. It's wrong.
