Theres this girl that has liked me to the point of being obsessed for a long time, but I really don't like her, but after about six months of people telling me that she liked me, and me getting more and more tired of saying no, I acted like I was gonna go for it, just to drive her away by being a totally bad boyfriend, so that she would think that I was a jerk and get rid of me. Now I kinda feel bad, but I think its gonna work, and nobody has to get hurt, does this make me a horrible person?

Not a bad person. Just poor decision making skills. If you didnt care and werent a good person, you wouldnt have taken the time to ask the question. Just try to begin to "Do the right thing".

You are not a horrible person, but you gotta realize that sooner or later everything comes into the light. It's obvious you really don't want to be with this girl. The only reason you are now is because of guilt. Guilt is not the basis for any healthy relationship.
I understand you don't want to hurt this person by breaking up with her. But you need to realize that in reality the longer you let this play out, the more you are hurting her.
The way you can hurt her the least, is to break up with as soon as possible. I know that sounds weird, but the longer you wait, the more it's going to hurt.
Acting like a jerk so she will break up with you, is pretty much wimping out. She is all gaga over you and she's not going to do it. You are the one that knows the situation, and knows it is not going to work. Admit to yourself... Then admit to her.
Good Luck!

Well your not a bad person but I would just leave her alone. If you try to date her and put on an act. Your only making yourself look bad. And feelings can get hurt. In the long run your not only going to make yourself look like a jerk your going to break her heart. Do you really want to do that. Tell her over and over again if you have to that your not into her. She'll move on. Don't be mean. Let her give her heart away to someone who will love her. A girls heart is like a rose. Every time you give yourself to someone. Another petal falls and what ever left of the rose. Is all thats left for her husband. Let her safe her heart and not break it.

No man your not a horrible person. But by doing that your gonna cause more problems. Things are gonna get bad. I went through this last year and things got so bad i had to switch schools! Right now your still in control. Just be honest with her... unless your ready for some really rough times. Good luck bro!

You are not a horrible person unless you feel that you are. I personally would not have done that because I know how it is to be let down like that and it sucks big time.I feel that you should have given her a chance no matter what or at least took some time out of your schedule to sit her down and talk to her face to face. This way it shows that you dont like her, yet you arent being a total jerk. I would try to apologize to her and actually sit her down and sort all of the mess out.

Nobody has to get hurt? Do you honestly believe that weeks, possibly months, of being a bad boyfriend isn't going to hurt her? You may not be a horrible person, but you sure are a naive one.

Man up, ferchrissakes. Don't drag out her agony, just tell her straight up that you don't like her that way. It'll hurt for a while, but not as deeply as if you pretend to like her and then betray her after she gets really attached to you.

You know, why waste your time?? Some women actually like jerks. You know the whole "tough boy" thing?? It sounds like she isn't too bright so your plan might backfire anyway! If she likes you so much, this process could take a lot longer than you've bargained for. You might even drive away some girls you ARE interested in. Just ignore her and try to live your life. Even dogs get bored.

Well she will be hurt with your bad jerk attitude and sounds like you will be too, not sentimentally, but morally.

You shouldn't have this relationship just to please your friends, it is no nice to be with someone just for charity!! It is terrible for both, because she will expect more of you and won't get it and you because you will have to be close to her (kisses hugs etc.) when you don't really mean it.

Cut this thing now before gets ugly, (also an obsessed person can be dangerous when jelousy and depression arise)
Good luck!!

Did you say no to the people telling you that she liked you or were you saying no to the girl? If you were saying no to the girl, then I would say that she obviously is just not getting it and you should figure out a way to resolve the situation (if this idea works for you and you think no one is getting hurt, then do it). However, if you never said anything to girl about your feelings and now you are toying with her emotions, then I wouldn't say that you are a horrible person, but I would say that there are better ways of going about it than that.

You say no body will get hurt, but you will hurt her. If she likes you that much she will be devestated when she finds out you had no feelings for her, and she will find out. How would you feel if some girl lead you on like that? You will also loose respect from all of the other girls in your school when they see what you are doing.

You just need to explain to these people that you don't have feelings for her the way she does for you, and talk to her. Maybe you two could be friends.
