Okay. My husband just left for boot camp and I am unsure about the pay he will receive. We got different answers from each recruiter he talked to about it (of course) so I really don't know what to expect. I know his basic pay since you can find that all over the web and his BAH. What I am unclear about it the BAH and the seperation allowance. Will he get either of those? I was told seperation pay is given after 30 straight days of being away, which makes sense. Any truth to this? Also, was told that I would not be able to access MyPay.com until after his 9 weeks of boot. Is this true?? How am I supposed to see his breakdown in pay? Any help/answers/ advice is welcomed!! THANKS!!!

Sorry, I meant to ask about BAS as well. I know all active duty men and women get this, but how much can I expect to be left after he eats at boot?

BAH will be based on your zip code while he is in training. family Sep kicks in on Day 31. It will be around 6-8 weeks before he gets paid, but it will be retroiactive, althought hge first coupleof pays will be off due to expenses that are taken out when he arrives at Great Lakes.

your spouse must be the one to set you up with a read only account on Mypay, and he will not have access until after Boot Camp.

Adams is incorrect.. the ONLY extra monies he wil receive is BAH at the with dependant rate, and that is the same whether it is just a spouse or a spouse and ten kids. there is NO extra monies for having kids. Family Sep is $250/month.

Your Husband Will Receive Basic Pay, (Duh). Then He Will Receive BAH Based On Your Zip Code. Then He Has The Choice To Put You As A Dependant Or Not. If So He Should Receive More Money. Then If You Have Children He Should Get Paid For Them As Dependants. As Far As Seperation Pay I'm Not So Sure. I Thought That It Was Just For Deployments But Don't Quote Me On That. I'm A Marine And Not A Sailor So It Could Differ A Bit But I Doubt It..

He will get an LES (leave and earnings statement) which will tell him his pay. He should get BAH at the rate of the zipcode you live in. I'm not sure if he'll get Seperation pay yet, but its not that much anyway. He probably won't have a mypay account right away, and you definately won't have access for some time.

as they said he will get base pay plus dependent rate BAH for your zip code.......once he gets out of training and is assigned to his first base he will either get BAH for that base or lose it all together if you live in base housing.
