Salons have special additives and also special ways of softening white hair as well as color developed to help make the white hair take the hair dye. Have your hair done there. Also, you will have much softer hair when you start having it done in a salon. Reason being they can do your roots only and you won't end up with build up on the ends. Good luck !

Loreal Colour Rays works really well...so does Feria/ actually that's the only product i use is Feria b/c it always comes out looking great, can last longer than the 6weeks...and makes your hair not as damaged and doesn't smell as bad as regular dye...it also adds shine to your hair so i'd go with that...it's the silver box of hairdye in your local store..it's relitively inexpensive and it's worth it...GOOD LUCK

If you have white roots, go to Sally Beauty Supply and get their Ion Color Brilliance (permanent hair color). It covers beautifully. Always do a strand/patch test first though and use the appropriate developers. Otherwise you can always go to a salon.
