Well first of all, no one should have faith in their religion. Religion is man made and only an interpretation of spiritual thinking.
So I guess to answer your question truthfully, one who gives themselves to their religion wholly and without question does have less common sense.
One who has an unending faith in God doesn't necessarily have any more or less common sense than anyone else.

Your statement is true in cases where faith is based on credulity and a complete disregard for facts. I'm guessing that what you're thinking is that less intelligent people are more religious, but that's not always the case.
About 40% of scientists now believe in "a higher power", whether believing in a personal God or not.
Since science has proved that spontaneous generation does not exist and scientists cannot prove evolution, common sense says that the biblical explanation of the earth's creation by an all-powerful God is plausible. (Who do scientists represent, anyway, when attempting to recreate primordial soup? ;) Science agrees with the order listed in Genesis of the creative "days" and what each produced. (Genesis 2:4 speaks of the entire creative period as THE DAY Jehovah created the heavens and earth, so the word "day" should be understood to mean a period of time.)
I don't know how one measures the amount of faith a person has in their religion, but I would say for myself with a wink that 'my cup runs over'. ;) I don't know the measurement for common sense either, but I do know that I believe true science and the bible mesh well, and experience tells me that when I do God's will it is then that I am most happy. Common sense says that you're probably not interested in religion, BUT- could you at least make an informed decision before dismissing all of them? :)

That depends n the religion in question. Some almost seem to require a lack of such sense to enable such faith, others it is only the presence of that same sense that makes faith possible.

Only people who do not understand what faith is. People who chuck all common sense in the name of "faith" have not read the book of Proverbs. Proverbs is full of wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to choose and do the right thing. Some believe they are doing the right thing by believing in or for something that is nonsensical. Do your part by acting in wisdom, and believe God for His part (that's faith).

Faith in God, not Religion. So, yes, to have faith in Religion is to have less common sense.

I have both great faith in my religion and plenty of common sense. The two things are not necessarily mutually incompatable.

Read the front page of any newspaper for your answer. Some people are so warped by doctrine that they have forgotten how to think. Best wishes
