Catholics believe suicide when committed in full knowledge and deliberate consent is a complete turning away from God (a mortal sin) and will send a person to hell.
There are 3 conditions of a mortal sin: grave matter, full knowledge, and deliberate consent.
While suicide (or any kind of murder) is always a grave matter, people who commit suicide may not always have full knowledge of what they're doing. Drugs can definitely impair one's thinking, as can other things, such as diseases, intense pain, or anguish.
Therefore, suicide is not automatically treated as a mortal sin.
We are commanded by Christ not to judge others so we leave final judgment to God who alone knows each person's heart.
With love and prayers in Christ.

There has been much debate on this issue. There are those who hold to the belief that committing suicide is taking away the life that God has given you, and therefore results in giong to hell.
The other side says it is possible to commit suicide and go to heaven.
The Bible records seven suicides.
Abimelech
(Judges 9:52-54)
Abimelech lacked personal identity.
Samson
(Judges 16:25-30)
Samson died for a cause he believed in and for revenge.
Saul
(1 Samuel 31:4)
Stressed out, unable to live up to certain expectations; felt rejected and a failure
Saul's armor-bearer
(1 Samuel 31:5)
Impulse, he wanted to die with his boss. 40% of teenage suicide is impulse.
Ahithophel
(2 Samuel 17:23)
Ahithophel was bitter because his advice was not followed
Zimri
(1 Kings 16:15-20)
Rebellion; Zimri had a problem with authority
Judas
(Matthew 27:3-5)
Depressed, Judas felt trapped by materialism and guilt
There are those who believe that had someone say like Job had committed suicide, it would have been justifiable.
All I can say is this: God is a just God, and only He knows what is in one's heart. What he allows and permits is done in His sovereign wisdom. No one really knows all the reasons behind certain suicides.
Furthermore, there are those who become believers that are never properly discipled. They are not taught about issues such as this. Are they really to be held responsible for such actions? Just something to ponder.
I know Samson is in heaven. He's in the Hebrews 11 chapter of faith.
As far as Judas goes, there is debate as to whether he was ever even saved.
Despite whatever you believe, be careful in how you counsel to those who have lost loved ones as a result of suicide. Pray for wisdom and ask God for words.

No they do not all go to heaven cause Christian is just a label and does not really reflect the inner person. And if one commits suicide I believe it is between him and his God. It's about the life he lived.

I obviously don't have a definitive answer but I would say that most Christians go to heaven, and without a doubt I believe Christians that commit suicide go to heaven.

Christians...Christians...and Christians, why are you so obsessed with the Christians? Do you really care to know whether Christians go to heaven or not? Do you really care to know whether Christians that commit suicide go to heaven or not? I don't think so! Why then do you bother us with your silly Christian questions?

The only christian that go to heaven are the ones who have asked Jesus Christ into their heart and believe that he died on the cross for their sins so they wouldn't have to suffer. Christians that commit suicide go to hell unfortunetly because that is their choice because God doesn't want you to kill yourself.

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is. A true Christian turns to God in times of trouble, so suicide is out of the question.
Suicide= one way ticket to Hell.

I believe only God can know that answer but here is my thoughts on it--If a person lives there whole life kind to others, serving, and loving thy neighbor but for some reason are unable to deal with depression and take their own life--it does not seem fair to me to just send them to "Hell" for that. I know the Lord "looketh on the heart," and knows the real person we all are; and each of us will be judge on that. I do believe suicide is wrong; but I'm not going to tell someone who lost a love one to suicide that their loved one is in "Hell"-- lucky for me I've found a Religion that has the answer, for many of these questions.

Not all Christians go to heaven. Suicide is very hard to be forgiven. Especially if you die from it.

1. I don't know. 2. In my opinion, a real Christian can not commit suicide because God would not forsake them in their trouble. He gives hope no matter the circumstance so the point in moot as far as I am concerned.
