In the world of boxing, there's a rivalry between the Mexicans and the Filipinos. Who do you think has better boxers?

In terms of raw talent, Filipinos are better than Mexicans. However, Mexican fighters get proper training from the very best trainers in the world. They eat right and get good nutrition. Most of all, they easily gain international exposure because of adequate support from their government. On the other hand, most Filipino boxers are poorly trained due to lack of facilities and talented trainers. They are starving not only for food but also for attention and care from the government. Only few are lucky enough to have that big break, like Manny Pacquiao.

Mexico. Just look at the number of champions from that country. Not just champions, but also Hall of Famers. Julio Caesar Chavez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales--just to name 3.

Not sure how the previous guy comes up with the idea that "in terms of raw talent, Filipinos are better than Mexicans".

Filipino's have a slugger's mentality, much like Mexicans. I just think that Filipino's have the better talent because we Filipino's have a violent culture. Manny Pacquiao alone knocked out Barrera and Morales(2x). He should have beaten Marquez, too, but he was cheated.

Yeah there's probably rivals, you can judge on the individual but I don't think you can judge what countries are made up of better fighters.
