Last night we made Easter cookies. Sugar cookies cut into egg, bunny, and flower shapes. Then we frosted them with white frosting and put them in the fridge. After the frosting was set, I cut up a brand new sponge and we sponged food coloring onto the top of the frosting to give a great mottled look.

Painting pictures of Rabbits, eggs, baskets, Flowers, and the like. Creative crafts as though Clay building of rabbits or other easter related emblems. They can also cook small snacks using pretzels, pretzel sticks, marshmellows, peanut butter, m&m's or reese's pieces, making rabbit faces and so on. The possibilities are nearly endless. Make sure you're often praising the children for doing such good jobs, because you want them to grow up proud and strong and not evil and maladjusted. You could sing songs. Or better yet, pretend the kids are in charge and let them pick out of these options. They feel much more involved and happy when they feel like they're making their own decisions and they cooperate better. I hope they all are very happy this Easter

seeing since Easter is a religious celebration you might pole the churches around where you live or check the newspaper. there are MANY church advertisements in the paper prior to a religious celebration such as this one. i know some have some pretty dramatic plays/re-inactments of the reason for the season and some have some children's programs and or plays. at our church the children always have song presentations with dancers that celebrate the occasion.

The mexicans around here have these thingds called "cascarones" (my spelling ,might be way wrong), anyways you fill empty shells with confetti and break them on your head for luck. you kinda cut the tops of the shells off then glue colored paper over the holes when they're filled. some also dye the shells.
try a picnic at the zoo.

We hunt for wild mushrooms, wild onions, and yard eggs.
Later, we have wild mushrooms, wild onions, and scrambled yard eggs. As well, we always give thanks to the great spirit.
