More than six months ago, I met this sexy attractive older guy at a neighboring university. Over the next few months we've stayed in complete contact and regularly meet up every couple of weeks. The problem is, he told me right in the middle of all this that he has a girlfriend back home (who is closer to his age). It apparently didnt bother either of us as much as it should have, because our "relationship" has never been more passionate or sexual. I'm starting to have true feelings for him, and he is too, but he doesn't want to end it, neither does he want to leave his girlfriend (at least not to my knowledge). I feel too much for him just to walk away, what do I do?

I appreciate any feedback! Thank You!

You are going to have to be strong.

Not all older men, but a lot end up chasing younger women as they get older. Fear of getting older and committment. These relationships usually don't last.

You need to put your foot down. Either he is with you or not. Tell him that you want his committment. If he can't give that to you, then you need to walk away. How do you know that you're not just the girl on the side? It's not fair to you. There are PLENTY of men closer to your age. Just give them a chance.

If he does choose to be with you, beware. This means that he is okay with cheating. Many will mask it as it being just a one time thing because of special feelings. I read a study that cheaters have a very high percentage of cheating again unless they go through therapy with their partner.

And also, how would you feel if you were the other woman? Don't encourage a man to continue to cheat. This is what makes woman distrustful of each other and competitive.

Have courage and be strong!

What makes you think he will stay faithful to you? If he can cheat on his girlfriend he will most likely cheat on you with some other girl. Once a cheater always a cheater you should leave him and find someone that won't play his girl for a fool.

Im in the EXACT situation... i just ended everything with him, if he doesnt leave his girlfriend, leave him, it'll just end up hurting you in the end trust me... and you dont need a man like him anyway! itll just switch up, now you'll be the girlfriend, and some other girl will be the girl hes cheating on YOU with, once a cheater always a cheater, your too good for him.

Can't say I condone people that come in between couples, even though you didn't know when you started. How would you feel if someone you loved was sleeping with someone, for purely "sexual" reasons and didn't want to break it off?

I don't think it's your kool-aid to be a-drinkin'.

talk to him about this other girl, to see where he sits. you shouldn't be with him if he is still with another, and if he did this once what makes you think he won't cheat on you with someone else. girl you need to think this through.
